This afternoon we had a birthday lunch for Marc in our garden.
The weather stayed fine, and as usual, we all ate too much !
Greenwich & Thames

Taking advantage of the continuing great weather this week, Gina & I re-visited the Greenwich National Maritime museum, getting there and back via a cruise along the River Thames, from Westminster. We again had a lovely day, lots more sunshine & followed by another nice meal out in the evening, this time on the South Bank.

Today Gina & I visited Hampton Court Palace, nearby the River Thames. We had a lovely day, helped by glorious sunshine & a nice meal out in the evening.
Champagne tea at St. Albans

This afternoon Gina & I went for a champagne afternoon tea, at St. Michael’s Manor, St. Albans. A big thank you to Sharon, Keith & Katie, as it was their birthday present to Gina.
Before having tea, we went for a stroll down memory lane, and visited nearby Verulamium park. The picture is the remains of the old Roman wall.

This afternoon Gina & I went for a stroll along the river Thames, at Henley.
The sun stayed out all day, and we enjoyed some nice cream scones at a local tea room.

This afternoon Gina & I hosted a slightly belated birthday tea for my brother Simon, joined by his sons Scott & Alex.

Trafalgar Square & theatre

Today we again took advantage of the Spring sunshine, to make a brief visit to Trafalgar Square, before a visit to a theatre to see “The War of the Worlds”.
It was also the Queen’s 90th birthday !
Trip to Greenwich & ELO concert

This afternoon Gina & I took advantage of the spring sunshine, to go by “clipper” along the River Thames to Greenwich.
When we arrived there, we took a return ride on the cable car that goes across the river.
We completed our day at by attending an ELO concert, at the nearby arena.
Then back by “clipper” down the Thames to Waterloo.
Windy afternoon in Windsor

This afternoon Gina & I decided to catch a window of opportunity between rain showers & some hail, and spent the afternoon by the river Thames, at Windsor.
The place was not as busy as one might expect for a bank holiday weekend, and even the swans had to make do with meagre offerings from the public.

This afternoon, at a nearby favourite restaurant, we had a small family celebratory lunch for my recent birthday – plus of course Valentines’ day for Gina ! Unfortunately, James was unable to join us.
However, we all had a great time and lots to eat.
Winter comes to London
